I've also found that they tend to age pretty well, whereas a lot of old black borders develop those immediately noticeable white nicks in their paint that drives me absolutely nuts

When playing blue tutor effects, putting cards onto the top of your deck, into your hand, or onto the battlefield is going to be ideal, as blues graveyard and exile recursion is notably worse than blacks
On top of that, if your creature has a tap to activate ability, activating the ability now makes your creature deal damage equal to its power to another creature
Note that the combo doesn't work if Ballista only has one counter to begin with (maybe Hardened Scales entered after an X=1 Ballista)
